Shanghai-based artist Jian Guo made these absolutely amazing World of Warcraft-themed stained glass-style illustrations featuring various scenarios from the game. I can’t work out if I want prints of these, or actually have them made into stained glass pieces and put in a window.
Necromancer Charr is summoning a minion!
Wow… some wicked-scary details on this (in a good way)!
I think I might have featured this one before! Really good, though. Nice use of light shadows and colour! Only bit of criticism I can offer is that he’s missing the second horn that’s usually found between the two ears.
He isn’t, actually. The ears are spaced further apart to accommodate it.
You’re completely right. How did I miss that?
Oh well, no more early morning blogging for me, I think. At least, not before I’ve fully woken up. I’m really not sure how I missed that.
Or… wait, no, I see what it is. It’s that the lower ear is in a weird position, so I misread the horn as an ear at a glance, they’re usually not that spaced out. The two ears are almost (almost) emanating from the same point on a male charr, with the horn in front of them.
Take a look at this.
So, yeah. The spacing is slightly odd, and that made me misread it at a glance. Totally my bad.
EDIT: Not so bad, though! The mistake I made, I mean. I got to point out how the spacing works on a male charr in regards to horns and ears, so that’s a good thing. That’s one service I wish to supply with this blog - providing references to show how charr biology works. (Others being to showcase incredible art, post random humour, and ramble away with those lore pieces.)
